    Partnership working: Fatherhood Institute

    The Fatherhood Institute with 4Children are recruiting 12 local authorities over the next 2 years to roll out a package of training and support funded by the Department for Education.

The 4Children national programmes team devises and delivers a wide range of programme across the 0-19 age range including research projects, consultations and direct delivery work with children, young people and families. We work with a range of partners such as government departments, commercial sponsors and other charities on a truly diverse range of work.

Business Skills for Early Years

A new DfE funded programme to help to improve the business skills of early years and childcare providers, this project will bring together good practice resources and information on business management in an online hub as well as offer a series of free training events and seminars.

This programme aims to work with the voluntary and community sector to help increase their management of children centres or delivery of children centre services in several pilot areas throughout England.

Community involvement within a children's centre

Partnership working: Centre for Separated Families

The purpose of the project is to train key practitioners working in 620 Sure Start Children’s Centres and Day Nurseries to recognise and respond effectively to support families experiencing relationship difficulties and separation. This will increase the number of children who benefit from strong parental relationships and effective parenting arrangements following separation.

Support for separated families

Partnership working: Fatherhood Institute

We will encourage families to function better by strengthening providers to support parents through the transition to parenthood, and following separation/divorce. We will do this by making two complementary evidence-based interventions available to local parents; training parenting practitioners to be more father-inclusive; and offering local authorities an e-learning package.
