Deciding how to spend the Early Years Pupil Premium – how can research evidence help?

The Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) is an independent grant-making charity dedicated to breaking the link between family income and educational achievement, ensuring that children from all backgrounds can fulfil their potential and make the most of their talents. We aim to achieve this mission by evaluating educational innovations and then encouraging practitioners, Government, and others to use evidence and adopt the innovations found to be most effective. This session will cover:

    • Introduction to the Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) and the EEF.
    • What counts as good evidence and where can I find it?
    • How should I use evidence to inform my practice and decisions about how to spend the EYPP?
    • How can I help to build the evidence base of effective practice in early years education?

The events will run from 9.30 through to 3.30. The venue will be confirmed to you via email once a booking has been made. Please be aware that refreshments will be available on the day, however on this occasion lunch will not be provided.

The LED events are always extremely popular with long waiting lists. We kindly ask that your organisation books a maximum of 3 places and informs the events team as soon as possible should someone not be able to attend.

The events are aimed at organisations, local authorities, leaders and managers of all providers, schools and settings and all involved in early years . The sessions give the opportunity to learn and share together, as well as giving the latest information in relation to early years and childcare.
