The Windmill and Sails Children's Centre offers a variety of services for expectant families and those families with children under the age of five across the areas of Netley Abbey, Hamble, Butlocks Heath, Bursledon and Old Netley.
Our regular sessions are free, however we are grateful for any small donations. We offer a full programme of services, including a small toy and book library, and a monthly sling meet allowing parents to try and borrow baby slings. See our monthly timetables for more information.
Look out for short courses we may also be delivering, such as baby signing, paediatric first aid, cook and eat, money skills and sensory craft workshops. Some of these causes may incur a small fee. Please contact the centre directly for more information.
We have two full time family support outreach workers who are also able to provide 1:1 support to parents. If you are experiencing difficulties, have a particular issue that you would like to address or are feeling overwhelmed by parenting, we are here to listen, advise and support.
Frequently asked questions involve sleep, behaviour, weaning, accessing local activities, and child development. We are also able to signpost you to specialist agencies and activities that may enhance your family.
Parents and volunteers are a huge part of the centre. Come and visit our Facebook page for up to date news and information on events, and contact the centre for details on volunteering opportunities in the centre and at groups.
