Inquiry Diary

South London, Weds 12 August 2015
Speaking to 27 young people - between the ages of 11 and 18.

In an energetic session we heard from young Londoners about their family lives, their hopes and fears for the future and their priorities. Many of their comments gave us a fresh perspective on some themes which have surfaced again and again. A 14 year old particularly highlighted the problem of debt and cash/ pay day lenders, citing it as a real worry and something which needed to be stopped. There was also a prevailing sense of distrust of others outside their own families.

Certainly food for thought – their opinions will be reflected in the inquiry launching in the Autumn.
