There are some ideas below to get you started - and some handy hints in our Fundraising Guide. You can find out more about our skydives by clicking the link to the right. If you fancy a bigger challenge, you might want to look at our fundraising treks - combining the trip of a lifetime with the chance to support our work with children, young people and families.
DoItForCharity
www.DoItForCharity.com is the largest resource for people who want to do something for charity. There are thousands of events you can take part in to raise money. Have a look at their website for inspiration, and nominate 4Children as your charity of choice.
Run 4Children
Enjoy running? DoItForCharity holds a series of 5k runs throughout the year which you chose to support 4Children. Visit their website for more information and run dates.
If you fancy a bigger challenge, you can set up a page at JustGiving to raise money for any event you’re taking part in - just nominate 4Children from the list of charities available. So, if you’ve always wanted to run a marathon (or two!) now is the time to get training!
Give It Up 4Children
How about giving something up for a week?Get sponsored to stop: drinking tea / biting your nails / thumb sucking / watching TV / eating crisps / mobile texting.
Shout Out 4Children
For 4Children parents, carers, families and friends who want to fundraise but don’t fancy a sponsored event; Shout Out 4Children week is a great time to get involved. Hold a coffee morning/barbecue/cream tea/picnic/dinner party/midnight feast and ask every guest to donate £10 to 4Children - that’s not much to ask for good food and great company!
Why not get your family and friends involved?
See if you can involve your out of school club, your local pub, football team, youth group, church or workplace. If you can persuade other people to join you you’ll raise far more for 4Children without putting in any extra effort yourself!
Do you work in an out of school/holiday club?
There are lots of exciting fundraising activities you can do with the help of staff and children, such as a sponsored silence, a sponsored skipping contest or holding a talent contest.
Do you run a youth club or sports activity club?
You can involve older children in a sponsored readathon or have a specific activity sponsored such a football match or a fashion show.
Do you work in the corporate sector?
Involve all your colleagues in a sponsored run or why not give up your morning coffee for a week or have a dress-down Friday?
Are you an individual keen to support 4Children’s work?
Then you can become involved by raising funds via sponsored activities involving your friends and relatives or your community. Organise a cake bake, a car-boot sale or a quiz night!
Remember: fundraising is about raising money for a great children’s charity, but it also involves having fun!
Parachute for FREE! & Skydive from 12,000 feet (one mile high!)
If you have ever wanted to do a parachute jump here is your chance. 4Children are looking for hundreds of adventurous volunteers to make a fundraising parachute jump and if you raise enough in sponsorship you will get to jump for free!
