Imelda Redmond CBE – Chief Executive
Imelda was appointed as Chief Executive of 4Children in March 2015 with over 20 years as a senior leader in the charitable sector. Prior to working at 4Children Imelda was the Director of Policy and Public Affairs at Marie Curie Cancer Care. She was the CEO of Carers UK from 2002 - 2011 and has held many non-executive Director positions both in the voluntary sector and the NHS. She was awarded a CBE in 2010.
Alex Botha - Interim Chief Operating Officer
Alex Botha is 4Children's Interim Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for Finance, IT, Estates, HR and Business Support. Alex has extensive third sector experience which includes roles as Chief Executive Officer of a health and safety charity, Deputy Chief Executive of a homeless charity and a trustee of an international development charity. Alex brings to 4Children broad commercial experience from his previous roles in professional services, investment banking and the construction sector. Alex is a chartered accountant and has an MBA from London Business School and Masters in Development Management from the Open University.
Peter Rogers – Director of Operations and Quality
Peter leads the National Programmes team whose diverse workload includes acting as strategic lead for the voluntary sector for the Department of Education, assessing childcare settings for a long term study of impact and delivering youth services on all the major RAF bases across the UK. His background includes working as a teacher, youth worker, freelance trainer, author, management consultant and Assistant Director of the Scout Association before coming to 4Children. As a volunteer, Peter is also a magistrate (adult and youth), Scout Leader, DofE award instructor and an Academy Trustee.
Kate Groucutt – Director of External Affairs (maternity cover)
Kate leads 4Children’s External Affairs department with a wealth of experience in policy, campaigns and communications. Formerly Deputy Chief Executive at Daycare Trust (now Family and Childcare Trust), and Policy and Public Affairs Manager at Carers UK, Kate has a successful track record in campaigning for better support for children and families. Her team seek to influence policy and practice through research, campaigns and events, and take the voices of families directly to policymakers.
